Elijah Wilkinson atacă fostul său club: 'Mult noroc cu acel circ acolo'

Wilkinson a petrecut trei din ultimii săi patru ani cu Falcons, având o oprire de un an în Arizona în 2023. Sezonul trecut, a început 17 meciuri după ce Kaleb McGary a suferit o accidentare la genunchi în preseason. Cel puțin un fan l-a apărat pe Wilkinson, un fost jucător nedraftat, care intră în al zecelea sezon în NFL, în principal ca jucător de rezervă care poate juca atât la guard cât și la tackle și a început 62 de jocuri în carieră. „Orice jucător nedraftat care poate să reziste un deceniu în ligă a făcut ceva corect.” a răspuns Wilkinson. „Mulțumesc pentru susținere când jumătate din acești oameni care comentau nu ar fi făcut-o. Am salvat Falcons când nu aveau unde să se întoarcă. Mult noroc în continuare.”

În cele din urmă, lecția rămâne aceeași: nu te angaja în dispută pe rețelele sociale cu fanii. Nu există câștig.
